The National Healthcare Consumer Advocacy Award recognizes an outstanding community or national leader and/or organization who has made a significant impact on the quality of care for the healthcare consumer in the United States or Canada.

The nominee must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be an innovative, positive individual leader or organization
  2. Must demonstrate commitment to healthcare quality
  3. Must have made a significant impact on healthcare consumers
  4. Must be an active member of SHCA
  5. Annual Conference attendance is encouraged
