Illinois (ISHCA)
October 2 - 3, 2008

ISHCA is preparing for their fall retreat in October.  Which they usually hold at a religious retreat center which means inexpensive housing and good food!  They have lots of fun things and educational components.  They plan on asking each member to share a practice that makes their life easier and will award a $50 gift card to the member whose idea is voted the best.  They have developed a resource center (lending library) with lots of great books, videos and materials that can be borrowed for staff training and personal growth.  Their email networking is a HUGE asset for recruiting folks.  And finally, the chapter will be offering one scholarship to the 2009 SHCA conference by lottery.
