In the past, if a patient had a good or bad experience with your organization, they told a few friends. Today, they can tell the world.  Social media had changed the way consumers share opinions and rate and review hospitals and other healthcare organizations.  Between Twitter, blogs, and YouTube, there are a variety of communication vehicles out there that can spread the word in a matter of seconds.  Are you monitoring these tools? Are you responding to complaints and lauding compliments? You should.

Join Geonetric’s Ben Dillon as he discusses the evolving world of patient-centered online communications.  Web sites, patient portals and social media all serve a specific purpose and allow you engage with different audiences in different ways.  From one-on-one conversations to accessing an entire community, this new view of patient-centered online communications provide limitless opportunities for advocacy.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the shift in the current online communications landscape
  • Outline how other organizations are using online tools to engage patients and families of all generations, deliver customer service and manage patient-provider conflicts.
  • Review examples of online mediation/dispute resolution as well as positive encounters and how to leverage them
  • Produce social media policies for your organization, including how and when to respond to criticism, and how to protect patient information and your staff
