One way to gain recognition in SHCA is the APEx Professional Achievement Program. This program is designed to acknowledge and promote individual achievement of professional excellence in the field of patient representation/consumer affairs. The program offers recognition on three levels, Achieved, Distinguished and Fellow, in order to encourage the professional development of all society members. Formal recognition of your achievements can serve as a milestone in your career and contribute to the promotion of the patient representation/consumer affairs function in your institution, and in the healthcare industry as a whole.
