March 9 Webinar to look at patient advisory councils
The American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) and the National Association for Healthcare Quality will share lessons learned from partnering with patients to reduce medical errors and improve safety outcomes March 9 in a Webinar titled “The Missing Voice in Patient Safety: Our Patients.” The program will explore patient advisory councils; how disclosure can affect performance improvement activities and system redesign; and how healthcare risk management, patient safety and quality professionals can collaborate to involve patients in safety. Program leaders will describe tactics to engage patients in safety initiatives, review tools and resources on patient engagement activities, and more.
