Opportunity Raffle

     

Advocates help thousands of patients with their grievances to get the healthcare they need and deserve.  Supporting this important profession enables patients across the country to improve their healthcare needs and quality of care.


Each year our advocates enter to win any number of attractive items generously donated by organizations such as yours, SHCA members and other healthcare supporters.  In order to make this event even more successful than in years past, we look for your creativity and generosity in contributing to support the SHCA opportunity raffle.


If you cannot fit your donation in your luggage, please note that all items must be shipped to arrive at the hotel to arrive between April 9-13.

You can support this event at the Annual Conference by:

  • Donating items for the opportunity raffle
  • Soliciting donations from merchants, artists, manufacturers… even your hospital’s gift shop
  • Purchasing items at the opportunity raffle

 

While there is no obligation for any member to donate an item, the more people who participate, the more fun it will be.

Individuals may donate items or a chapter may donate as a group. Here are some suggestions:

  • Unique specialty items from your area of the country (gift baskets, cookbooks, etc.)
  • Handcrafted items such as quilts, scarves, and woodworking
  • Gift certificates to national chain restaurants or department stores for use anywhere
  • Edible items (candies or wines)
  • Tickets or passes to special functions (theatre, sporting events, etc.)
  • Educational materials such as books, magazine subscriptions, memberships
  • Examples of popular items donated in previous years include:
  • Consumer electronics
  • Entertainment vouchers
  • Sporting goods/clothing
  • Educational products
  • Art and photography
  • Health or beauty products
  • Books
  • Package tours
